Drawing on their entrepreneur skills, they thought through what they needed to do and devised a plan to do this.
Starting with marketing, they made posters and put them up around school, to publicise the event. They also compiled a letter to go home, asking for donations of cakes as well as requesting that the children and young people of Ingfield brought in money to buy cakes to either eat or take home.
Then came the fun bit – cake making. A range of cakes and cookies were mixed and baked, in readiness for the big day.
One the day, the 6th Form rooms were decorated, cups of tea made and cakes laid out invitingly.
In addition to making and selling cups of tea and plates of cakes, the students ran some fundraising activities.
In total, they made an AMAZING £323.39, which has been donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, to help support those with cancer.
